Faraya is a village and municipality in the Keserwan District of the Mount Lebanon It is located 46 kilometers north of Beirut, 1 hour by car. Its average elevation is 1,850 meters above sea level.
Faraya is the name of the village, actual slopes are in Ouyoune El-Simane. However the whole area is located in Kfardebian village which includes the best equipped and most popular resort of Lebanon, the Mzaar Ski Resort.
In winter, Faraya has a cold climate with snow accumulations that can reach more than 1.5 metres and temperature drops to −6 °C or lower in winter. In summer temperature can reach over 30 °C in July and August.
